The Cisco Anyconnect VPN client has been replaced with the bSecure Remote Access VPN client based on the GlobalProtect application from Palo Alto Networks. Currently installed Cisco clients will continue to work through September 30, 2019. It is highly recommended that current installs of the Cisco Anyconnect VPN client be uninstalled and the bSecure VPN client installed at the earliest opportunity to avoid a lapse in service.

Congratulations and welcome to UC Berkeley! We look forward to providing for your software needs.

One question we often receive from new Students is, "when can I start using the software?" Software eligibility is linked to registration status. The registration process does take some time and must complete, and status must be updated to reflect an eligible affiliation ("Registered Student"), before most software can be downloaded and activated.
