General Information
Description:

IMPORTANT

Adobe has introduced a new Creativity Applications solution titled the Creative Cloud. The Creative Cloud products are not covered in the Adobe/UCB license agreement, and UCB activation keys will not work to activate the Creative Cloud products. When downloading Adobe software you must ensure that the products are from the Creative Suite(CS) line and not Creative Cloud.

***UPDATE***

Simplified Adobe trial download instructions:

Adobe trail downloads for the Creative Suite have been in flux since the release of Creative Cloud and have become unavailable several times. In case the primary trial download method from Adobe does not work, Software Central has a recommended workaround using the Adobe partner site PrdDesignTools.

Primary download method: Navigate to the Adobe CS 6 download site. You may be asked to input your Adobe ID.

Secondary download method in three steps:

  1. Login to the My Adobe site with your Adobe ID, which will give you an Adobe ID cookie.
  2. Click on the ProDesignTools site for the Acrobat Pro trial. It does not matter which package you want to download, this URL just redirects you to a site that sets an Adobe Trial Download cookie.
  3. Navigate to the ProDesignTools site and select the download link for the trial package you want to download.

For Adobe Acrobat XI please visit this site. Again, an Adobe account is required.

Please email software@berkeley.edu for assistance.

As a part of Operational Excellence, UC Berkeley and Adobe are excited to announce a pilot agreement that provides Adobe Creative Suite software to all campus faculty, staff, and students at no cost to individuals or departments in 2013. [1] Students will have the ability to download and use the Adobe Creative Suite Design Premium edition while faculty and staff will be able to install and use the full Adobe Creative Suite Master Collection. Both suites include Adobe Acrobat X Pro.

This agreement is part of the Operational Excellence-sponsored Productivity Suite (PS) project, which advances the OE goal of reducing complexity by alleviating the departmental administrative burden of researching, purchasing, updating, and distributing licenses for the most commonly used software and tools.
